SEATTLE PACIFIC UNIVERSITY

Private Christian university Seattle Pacific University (SPU) is located in Seattle, Washington. As the Seattle Seminary, it was established in 1891 along with the Free Methodist Church's Oregon and Washington Conference. In 1913, it changed its name to Seattle Seminary and College; two years later, it adopted the name Seattle Pacific College; and in 1977, it got its current name.
