The year 2003 marked the beginning of operations for Yorkville University, a private university located in New Brunswick, Canada. In the fall of 2004, the university welcomed its first students to enrol in the various programmes that were being operated out of its sole location in Fredericton, New Brunswick at the time. At the time, Yorkville University had no other campuses or locations. Since then, the university has opened a traditional campus in Vancouver, British Columbia, and has acquired two traditional campuses in the city of Toronto, Ontario. During the year 2018, Yorkville completed the purchase of the RCC Institute of Technology. This comprised a total of three educational institutions: the Academy of Design, the School of Engineering Technology & Computing, and the Toronto Film School.
