BROCK UNIVERSITY

In St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, Brock University is a public research institution. It is the only institution in Canada in a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, at the core of Canada's Niagara Peninsula on the Niagara Escarpment. Maj.-General Sir Isaac Brock, who was in charge of defending Upper Canada from the United States during the War of 1812, is the name of the university. At the undergraduate and graduate levels, Brock provides a huge selection of programmes, including professional degrees. In terms of research publication output and impact metrics for undergraduates, Brock was placed third among Canadian universities in 2008. (the most recent ranking completed). The MICA (Mathematics Integrated with Computing and Applications) programme is only available at Brock University, both domestically and globally. The sole undergraduate programme in public health offered in Canada is at Brock University's Department of Health Sciences. Brock offers 49 graduate programmes, including nine PhD programmes.
