UNIVERSITY OF READING

1. King George V gave the school a royal charter in 1926 that gave it the power to give its own degrees. It was the only university between the two world wars to get such a charter. People usually call the university a "red brick" university because it was founded in the 19th century.                            2. There are four main campuses in Reading. In the UK, the London Road and Whiteknights campuses are in Reading, while the Greenlands campus is in Buckinghamshire, on the banks of the River Thames. It also has a campus in Iskandar Puteri, Malaysia. Since 2016, the school has been split into 16 academic schools.
