1. In 1992, the institute became a university. It was also the first university in modern times to start a private medical and dental school. It is part of the ACU, the EUA, the CHUC, and Universities UK. The university works with a number of well-known colleges and universities, such as GSM London, Highlands College, Weymouth College, Strode College, City of Bristol College, and Exeter College. 2. In the middle of Plymouth is where the main campus of the university is located. It has classroom buildings, libraries, labs, and places for students to live. The University of Plymouth Students' Union, the Faculty of Arts, Humanities, and Business, the Faculty of Science and Engineering, and the Faculty of Health are all on the main campus.
