"The University of the Highlands and Islands is a tertiary institution that is made up of academic partners that are comprised of 12 colleges and research institutions that are located in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. These academic partners provide both further education and higher education to students. In the building that was formerly the Royal Northern Infirmary in Inverness, its executive offices are located.
It is possible to participate in undergraduate, graduate, and research programmes offered by the University of the Highlands and Islands at a variety of campuses located around the region. There are currently 9,984 students enrolled in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and there are 31,533 students enrolled in higher education.
