VERMONT TECHNICAL COLLEGE

Randolph Center, Vermont, and Norwich, Vermont, serve as the primary locations for the major campuses of Vermont Technical Institution, which is a public technical college in the state of Vermont. In addition, there are regional campuses in Brattleboro and Bennington, as well as nursing campuses spread out over the state in a total of six different locations. The institution is affiliated with the Vermont State Schools, which is a consortium of Vermont's four public colleges. The Vermont State Colleges are managed by a shared board of trustees, chancellor, and Council of Presidents, although each college maintains its own president and faculty. There are roughly 1,335 students enrolled in the school, the size of the typical class is 14, and the student-to-faculty ratio is 10 to 1. In April of 2020, Vermont State Colleges presented a plan to the Vermont Legislature proposing the closure of both the Vermont Technical College residential campus in Randolph and Northern Vermont University.
