Rindge, New Hampshire is home to the prestigious private university that is Franklin Pierce University. In 1962, it was established as Franklin Pierce College with the goal of combining a foundation in the liberal arts with curriculum for the education of professionals. 2007 marked the year when the institution was elevated to the status of university, and it holds accreditation from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). It is located a few kilometres from Mount Monadnock and overlooks Pearly Pond. The school has a total enrolment of 1,400 pupils. The site encompasses somewhere in the neighbourhood of 1,200 acres (4.9 km2). Since the year 2016, Kim Mooney has served as the president of Franklin Pierce University. In addition, the university runs the College of Graduate and Professional Studies, which has locations in Manchester, Portsmouth, and Lebanon, all in the state of New Hampshire, as well as in Goodyear, Arizona. The Marlin Fitzwater Center for Communication, the Monadnock Institute of Nature, Place, and Culture, and the New England Center for Civic Life are all located within Rindge College. Rindge College is home to all three of these institutes.
