ABOUT UNIVERSITY OF SAN FRANCISCO
San Francisco, California is home to a Jesuit-affiliated private university known as the University of San Francisco (USF). The primary campus of the university can be found on a setting that spans 55 acres (22 ha) and is situated between the Golden Gate Bridge and Golden Gate Park. The primary campus, often known as "The Hilltop," is physically subdivided into two distinct parts. On Lone Mountain, which is one of the most prominent topographical features in San Francisco, there lies a section of the main campus. Pro Urbe et Universitate, which translates to "For the City and University," is the university's traditional motto. This motto is a reflection of the university's close historical links with the City and County of San Francisco.
