ABOUT UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS - SOUTHWESTERN MEDICAL CENTER
One of the top educational medical centres in the country is the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. The institute blends great clinical treatment and education with cutting-edge scientific research. The institution is governed by the UT System Board of Regents and was founded in 1943 as the Southwestern Medical College. In 1954, it changed its name to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. The public medical centre, which is based in Dallas, Texas, is home to the UT Southwestern Medical School, UT Southwestern School of Health Professions, and UT Southwestern Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, all of which confer degrees. It is renowned for being the biggest medical school in Texas and the University of Texas System. More than 2,400 faculty members and more than 13,500 staff call the medical centre home. More than 2.7 million outpatient visits are made there annually. Every year, about 230 students are admitted. It is among the top 10 largest medical schools in the country and among the five least expensive state medical academic institutions.

ACCOMODATION
The apartments at UT Southwestern Medical Center are called Southwestern Medical Park Apartments. There are 282 units in the community, 120 with two bedrooms and two bathrooms and 162 with one bedroom and one bathroom. Since space is limited, priority is given to students in programmes that lead to a degree. Faculty, residents, and fellows are not allowed to live in student housing. The gated community has a public safety officer stationed at the entry control booth 24/7, an on-site leasing office, a fitness centre, a clubhouse with a study centre, a gazebo with gas grills, a swimming pool, and scheduled shuttle service to the UT Southwestern campus.
