ABOUT UNIVERSITY OF KENT
"The University of Kent is a public research university with a semi-collegiate structure that may be found in Kent, United Kingdom. On January 4, 1965, the university was awarded its royal charter, and the following year, Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent, was solemnly inaugurated as the university's first chancellor.
In addition to having campuses in Medway and Tonbridge in Kent and European postgraduate centres in Brussels, Athens, Rome, and Paris, the university has its main campus located to the north of Canterbury on land that is approximately 300 acres (1.2 km2) in size and is surrounded by parkland. The campus houses more than 6,000 students. The university has students representing 158 different countries, and 41% of its academic and research personnel are from countries other than the United Kingdom. This demonstrates the university's commitment to fostering global understanding. It is one of the European colleges that participates in the Santander Network, which is dedicated to fostering social and economic growth."
