ABOUT UNIVERSITY OF DERBY
A public university that was once known as Derby College of Art and Technology or just Derby College, the University of Derby is located in the city of Derby in the country of England. It can trace its origins all the way back to 1851, when the Derby Diocesan Institution for the Training of Schoolmistresses was established as the first step in the institution's evolution. 1992 was the year that it became a university. The institution offers more than 300 different academic programmes for students in their first year. The vast majority of academic specialisations and sub-specializations are covered by undergraduate degree programmes, as well as short courses, foundation degrees, and postgraduate degrees. The institution is currently home to over 34,000 students who are pursuing a wide variety of academic programmes.
