Growing up in mountains, my childhood was inherently connected to nature, its moods, and seasons. While walking long distances to school and back I developed an interest in trekking and climbing mountains. During holidays, I trekked to as many places as possible, and every time I enjoyed spending time outdoors close to nature and following the minimalist lifestyle. We used to go on long treks with my family and friends for continuous 10-15 days and find ourselves completely rejuvenated on returning to the routine. Trekking as a hobby has influenced me in numerous ways and it has taught me more than the traditional classroom education ever has. Climbing a mountain can find you tranquility and a sense of achievement when you reach the top. It is an extremely positive experience and I have developed patience, focus, flexibility, and adaptability while trekking. Trekking takes the credit for my never-give-up attitude, my solution-oriented approach, and my confidence.
The love and immense respect for mother nature is another gift that I have received from this beloved hobby. Trekking convinced me that it is important to have a purpose and a passion for everyone. It gives us a direction and a goal to achieve. The goal while mountain climbing is seeing the view from the top-most point but enjoying the journey is important as well. The same applies to real-life situations. I have also been involved in sports, dancing, and other extracurricular activities, but trekking has always been my favorite and is an inextricable part of my life. I associate trekking with boundless happy memories which I consider as true happiness. I have always found immeasurable satisfaction in climbing mountains and I will grab all opportunities to trek to a beautiful mountain.
