ABOUT UNIVERSITY OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
The University of New Hampshire (UNH) is a public research university that was established in 1863 as a land-grant institution. Its primary campus is located in Durham, New Hampshire. It was established and organised as a land grant college in Hanover in association with Dartmouth College in 1866, transferred to Durham in 1893, and took its current name in 1923. There are six different colleges located on the Durham campus of the university. The University of New Hampshire now has seven colleges, one of which is located in Manchester and is called the University of New Hampshire at Manchester. Concord, the city that serves as New Hampshire's capital, is home to the University of New Hampshire School of Law. The university is categorised as a "R1: Doctoral University – Very high research activity," as it is a member of the University System of New Hampshire.
