ABOUT UNIVERSITY OF REGINA
Publicly funded research at the University of Regina can be found in Regina, which is in the province of Saskatchewan in Canada. It was established in 1911 as a private denominational high school that was affiliated with the Methodist Church of Canada. In 1925, it began an association with the University of Saskatchewan as a junior college. In 1934, it was disaffiliated from the Church and fully ceded to the university. In 1961, it attained degree-granting status as the Regina Campus of the University of Saskatchewan. In 1974, it was granted independence and became a self-governing university. There are more than 15,000 full-time and part-time students currently enrolled at the University of Regina. The student newspaper at the university, which goes by the name The Carillon, is a member of CUP.
