ABOUT OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY STILLWATER
Officially known as Oklahoma State University, OSU-Stillwater is a public land-grant research university in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The Morrill Act allowed for the establishment of OSU in 1890. Oklahoma State University System's flagship institution, which was once known as Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College (Oklahoma A&M), enrolled 35000 students across its fives campus with an annual budget of $1.5 billion. Oklahoma State University system is a flagship institution. For the fall 2019 semester, there were 24,071 students enrolled on the main campus - 20,024 undergraduates and 4,017 graduate students. The R1 category for doctoral universities with a high level of research activity includes OSU. The National Science Foundation estimates that OSU spent $198.8 million on R&D in 2021. Since 1913 Students have conducted OSU's Homecoming celebration as a part of the fall semester preparation, drawing more than 70,000 participants and 40,000 alumni each year to campus and sponsored by the university as "America's Greatest Homecoming Celebration." The OSU Center for Health Sciences has its main medical campus in Tulsa and is accredited jointly with OSU-Stillwater as one institution.
