ABOUT DREXEL UNIVERSITY
A private research university, Drexel University has its main campus in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Anthony J. Drexel, a billionaire and philanthropist, established Drexel's undergraduate institution in 1891. It was once known as Drexel Institute of Art, Science, and Industry before changing its name to Drexel Institute of Technology in 1936. Its current name was given to the institution in 1970. In excess of 24,000 students were enrolled in the university's more than 100 master's, doctoral, and professional programmes as of 2020, in addition to more than 70 undergraduate programmes. A key component of Drexel's degree programmes is its cooperative education programme (co-op), which gives students the chance to obtain up to 18 months of paid, full-time job experience in a subject related to their undergraduate or graduate degree programme before they graduate.
