ABOUT HEIDELBERG UNIVERSITY
The university of Heidelberg offers undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate level programmes leading to degrees. 28,653 students are now registered at the university for a variety of degree programmes. International students make up 18.6% of the university's total student body. There are three campuses for the university in Heidelberg and one in Mannheim. The most recent campus, Neuenheimer Feld, was established in 1960. Heidelberg does not impose a tuition fee on its students, like all other public universities in Germany. The majority of graduate degrees are provided in German, but there are also some in French and a sizable number in English.
