ABOUT KENNESAW STATE UNIVERSITY
Kennesaw State University (KSU) is a public research university located in the state of Georgia, United States. It has two primary campuses in the Atlanta metropolitan area, one in the city of Kennesaw and the other in the city of Marietta, which are situated on a total of 581 acres (235 ha) of land. The school was established in 1963 by the Georgia Board of Regents with funding from local bonds and a space grant from the federal government. This took place at a period of significant economic growth in Georgia following World War II. Classes are also held in Paulding County, the Cobb Galleria Centre, and Dalton State College by Kennesaw State University (Dallas). With an enrolment of over 42,000 students in the fall of 2021, Kennesaw State University became the second-biggest university in Georgia in terms of student body size, and it also had the largest freshmen class of any university in the state. The University System of Georgia recognises Kennesaw State University as one of its "R2: Doctoral Universities – High Research Activity" institutions. Multiple academic degrees in fields such as business, education, engineering, nursing, physical sciences, computer technology, criminal justice, and sports management are offered at this university. The ASUN Conference is comprised of Kennesaw State's sporting teams, which compete at the NCAA Division I level.
