ABOUT CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY LONG BEACH
Long Beach, California is home to California State University, also known as CSULB. This institution is a public research university. With a total student population of 39,435 for the upcoming fall 2021 semester, the 322-acre campus is the second largest of the 23 campuses that make up the California State University (CSU) system. Additionally, it is one of the largest universities in the state of California in terms of enrollment. The university has one of the largest populations of graduate students not only within the CSU system but also within the state of California, as evidenced by the fact that it enrolled 5,830 graduate students as of fall 2021. One of the most prestigious and well-funded art schools in the United States can be found right here in The Beach. As of 2021, full-time students who reside in California will pay a tuition and mandatory fee rate of $5,742 per semester at the university, making it one of the institutions in the country with one of the lowest tuition and fee rates for students. Hispanic-serving institution (HSI) status makes CSULB eligible for designation as an Asian American Native American Pacific Islander serving institution in addition to its current status as an HSI (AANAPISI).
