ABOUT FLORIDA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY MELBOURNE
A private research institution in Melbourne, Florida is called the Florida Institute of Technology (often known as Florida Tech or FIT). The institution has four academic colleges: Business, Psychology & Liberal Arts, Engineering & Science, and Aeronautics. The College of Engineering & Science enrols about half of all FIT students. The Florida Tech Research Park and Melbourne Orlando International Airport are both close to the university's 130-acre main residential campus. To provide advanced education for professionals working in the space programme at what is now the Kennedy Space Center, the university was established in 1958 as Brevard Engineering College. Since 1966, Florida Tech has gone by its current name. In 2021, Florida Tech had 3,623 students enrolled in its online programmes in addition to 5,693 on-campus students between its Melbourne Campus, Melbourne Sites, and Education Centers. These students were almost evenly split between graduate and undergraduate students, with the majority of them concentrating their studies in engineering and the sciences.
