1.Manchester University is a public research university located in Manchester, England. The main campus is located on Oxford Road, south of Manchester City Centre. The Manchester Museum, The Whitworth (art gallery), the John Rylands Library, the Tabley House Collection, and the Jodrell Bank Observatory—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—are all owned and operated the university. 2.The Institution of Manchester is a red brick university, born out of the late- nineteenth-century municipal university movement. The University of Manchester has had 25 Nobel laureates among its past and present students and employees, the fourth-highest number of any single university in the United Kingdom.
