ABOUT FAIRFIELD UNIVERSITY
Located in Fairfield, Connecticut, the Jesuit-affiliated Fairfield University is a private institution of higher education. In the year 1942, its Jesuit founders established the institution. In 2017, the university had approximately 4,100 undergraduate students enrolled at the university on a full-time basis, in addition to approximately 1,100 graduate students, including both full-time and part-time students. Through its five schools and colleges, the university confers bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, and doctoral degrees. These schools and colleges are as follows: the Fairfield University College of Arts and Sciences; the Charles F. Dolan School of Business; the School of Engineering; the Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies; and the Graduate School of Education and Allied Professions. All of these schools are located on the university's main campus.
