"Norwich, England's Institution of East Anglia (UEA) is a public research university. The university, which was founded in 1963 and is located on a 320-acre (130-hectare) campus west of the city centre, comprises four faculties and 26 schools of study. The institution's annual income for 2020–21 was £292.1 million, of which £35.2 million came from grants and contracts for research. Its annual expenses were £290.4 million, and its undergraduate offer rate for 2021 was 85.1%.


Three Nobel Prize winners, a Hepatitis C and Hepatitis D genome discoverer, a lead developer of the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, one Royal Society President, and at least 48 Fellows of the Royal Society are all UEA alumni and faculty. Along with three Booker Prize winners, alumni also include leaders of state, governments, and multinational organisations."
