ABOUT UNIVERSITY OF BEDFORDSHIRE

"There are campuses of the University of Bedfordshire located in the counties of Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire in England. The university is a public research institution. The University of Luton was officially recognised as a university for the first time in 1993, although its history can be traced back to 1882. In 2006, with the approval of the Privy Council, the University of Luton and the Bedford campus of De Montfort University merged, resulting in the creation of the University of Bedfordshire. Prior to this merger, the University was known as the University of Luton.

It has campuses in five different locations: three in Bedfordshire, including Bedford and Luton; two in Buckinghamshire, including Aylesbury (for students studying nursing and midwifery), and Milton Keynes; and one in Hertfordshire, in Hitchin. It is also active in London and Birmingham, in addition to being active around the world, with a growing portfolio of international partnerships in places as far-flung as Egypt, Vietnam, Oman, and Mauritius."
