A private institution of higher learning, Monmouth University can be found in West Long Branch, New Jersey. It initially opened its doors in 1933 as Monmouth Junior College, but in 1956 it became Monmouth College, and in 1995, after receiving its charter, it became Monmouth University. There are approximately 1,750 graduate students, 4,400 full-time undergraduate students, and 260 part-time undergraduate students at this institution.
