Bachelor of Broadcasting Communications - Broadcast Journalism

A technical college in Christchurch, New Zealand was known as the Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology (CPIT), originally known as the Christchurch Technical College. In 2016, it combined with Aoraki Polytechnic to form Ara Institute of Canterbury. Full-time and part-time instruction in trades and technologies was offered by CPIT. With 25,000 students, it was the South Island's largest polytechnic and college of technology as well as one of the top organisations of its kind in the world. According to the Performance Based Research Fund's assessment of New Zealand's technological institutes based on the collective scientific output of all personnel, CPIT came in fourth place. It featured a wide variety of programmes that nearly all subject areas were represented in. In addition to music and visual arts, CPIT also specialised in nursing, business-related applied management, engineering, applied science, education, information technology, and architecture. The New Zealand School of Broadcasting, the only institution of its kind in New Zealand, was housed at CPIT. More than 50 different nationalities were represented among the students.
