1. Manchester Metropolitan University is a well-known public college and research institution in England. It was first called the Manchester Mechanics Institute when it was set up. Before it became a university in 1992 with its current name, the building and name went through a number of changes over the years. 2. The University Alliance has given the university its seal of approval. It is part of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), the EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the Association of MBAs (AMBA), and the North West Universities Association (NWUA). 3. Modern academic buildings, administrative offices, recreation centres, and student homes can be found on university campuses. The libraries have huge collections of rare and valuable books and digital resources for students and teachers to use as resources.
