Forbes has announced UT Austin and Rice University as Ivy League schools, a noteworthy achievement that elevates their allure to top students worldwide. The University of Texas (UT) at Austin and Rice University in Houston have received this distinction from Forbes, placing them among the most prestigious educational institutions globally. They are lauded for their ability to attract the brightest minds and garner acclaim from employers.

This recognition holds particular significance for Indian international students, who are highly represented at both universities. It coincides with India surpassing China as the primary source of international graduate students, according to the Open Doors Report.

Forbes' assessment process was thorough, deliberately excluding traditional Ivy League institutions (Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Brown, Penn, Columbia, Dartmouth, and Cornell), as well as other elite universities like Stanford, MIT, Duke, and the University of Chicago.
