UAE explores further educational ties with Finland
With an emphasis on innovation and contemporary teaching techniques the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is aggressively enhancing its educational partnership with Finland. The Zayed Educational Complex in Dubai hosted a meeting between Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo and UAE Minister of Education Sarah Al Amiri on January 14 2025 to explore ways to improve educational cooperation. The main topics of discussion were embracing contemporary teaching techniques, encouraging academic collaboration and encouraging innovation in education. The two sides discussed creative teaching strategies, curriculum design and teacher preparation initiatives. This high-level gathering demonstrates the strong academic ties between Finland and the United Arab Emirates as well as their mutual dedication to developing national educational systems through strategic international collaborations. To improve the competitiveness and results of the national education system Sarah Al Amiri underlined the UAE Ministry of Educations commitment to utilizing Finland's worldwide experience. This educational synergy is being facilitated by private sector partnerships as well as government initiatives. To bring Finnish early childhood education models to the UAE the Ghobash Group, a conglomerate with headquarters in the UAE has teamed up with Finland's HEI Schools. The goal of this collaboration is to open several HEI Early Learning Centers throughout the United Arab Emirates utilizing holistic research-based methods that prioritize play-based learning and kids' overall development. These programs demonstrate the United Arab Emirates dedication to incorporating international best practices into its educational system encouraging creativity and equipping students for challenges of the future.
