E-attendance soon for teachers and students in Tripura government schools:
The Tripura government plans to set up an electronic attendance system for teachers and students at all 4, 912 government schools in the state, according to a report in India Today. This initiative aims to improve the quality and transparency of education in the state.
Some of the expected advantages of this system include:
1) Better monitoring of the attendance of teachers and students. Accountability for teachers and students is increased.
2) Transparency of the education system is enhanced.
3) The functioning of the schools is improved. The scheme will be implemented in all the government schools in Tripura as per the plan.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched this scheme in 2022 in Gujarat [NDTV] and it is expected to be implemented in Tripura within two years.
