How Indian Students Can Apply for the Sixth Rhodes Scholarship
Indian Students Can Now Apply for Sixth Rhodes Scholarship
The Rhodes Trust, in partnership with the Radhakrishnan-Rajan family, is expanding its scholarship program for Indian students. This expansion adds a sixth scholarship, bringing the total number of opportunities awarded annually to deserving Indian scholars to six.
Eligibility for the prestigious Rhodes Scholarship is competitive. Applicants must be citizens of India and demonstrate a strong academic record. They must have also completed at least four out of the last ten years of their formal education at an institution in India. This can include completing a school-leaving exam (10th or 12th standard) at an Indian school or receiving (or being in the final year of) an undergraduate degree at an Indian university. Medical students and doctors have an extended age limit to account for their extended studies.
Interested students who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for the scholarship through the official website of the Rhodes Trust (<a href='www.rhodeshouse.ox.ac.uk)'>www.rhodeshouse.ox.ac.uk)</a> via the scholarships tab. The application process is comprehensive and requires various documents including academic transcripts, a valid passport, a detailed curriculum vitae outlining the applicant's achievements and experiences, and a personal statement of no more than 1,000 words.
