Ensuring Safety: JKSA's Commitment to Kashmiri Students Abroad
Relief for Families as JKSA Confirms Safety and Air Connectivity for Kashmiri Students in Kyrgyzstan
The Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA) has confirmed that Kashmiri students in Kyrgyzstan are safe and have operational air connectivity to India. The ministry informed JKSA that there are no restrictions on the movement of transport or people, and there are direct flights to India from Bishkek and other cities like Almaty, Dubai, Istanbul, and Tashkent. Students have been advised to plan their travel for vacation by commercial flights in consultation with their respective university administrations after completing their exams. The JKSA has received communication from the Indian Embassy in Bishkek, who is regularly coordinating with them and has assured them of their full support in case of assistance for Kashmiri students. The JKSA thanked the Ministry for its timely intervention and prompt response, which has provided relief to the students and their families back home. Both parents and their wards who were studying in Bishkek and other cities of Kyrgyzstan were satisfied with the response and the embassy's handling of the issue with Kyrgyz authorities.
