NEET UG Re-Test Set After Grace Marks Withdrawal and Alleged Irregularities

The NEET UG Re-test is scheduled for Sunday, June 23, with officials from the National Testing Agency (NTA) and Union Education Ministry overseeing the process. The retest involves 1,563 candidates and follows the withdrawal of grace marks previously awarded due to delays at six centers. Allegations of mark inflation, with six students scoring perfect 720 marks, led to this decision. The retest will be held at seven centers, including a retained center in Chandigarh. The move comes amid broader concerns of irregularities and paper leaks, though Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has ruled out canceling NEET, emphasizing the need to protect the integrity of the exam for the majority of students who passed legitimately.
