NCERT issues strong warning to unscrupulous publishers for unlawfully using its textbook content:

The National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT), has come across deceitful publishers, who have printed school textbooks available on their website without their permission. NCERT has the authorized rights to create and distribute educational textbooks for all stages of school and has been regarded as a major learning resource for many years now. Many schools affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), make use of the NCERT textbooks and curriculum. They have decided to take strong action against unscrupulous publishers, and have issued an official notice against this. Anyone who is caught continuing this practice of printing textbooks from their website for commercial sale will be held responsible for copyright infringement. Moreover, action will be taken against them under the Copyright Act 1957. Such content is also against the philosophy of the NCF 2023, Hence the NCERT has also recommended people to stay away from such unauthorized study material, as the content that it carries may be incorrect. Individuals who come across such plagiarized textbooks can contact the NCERT through Email cert@nic.in.
