IIT Madras and Sambalpur University, Odisha to collaborate for research on AI and green tech
IIT Madras signed an MoU with Sambalpur University, Odisha on 4th May 2024, to cooperate on research and academic programs in various fields such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), green technology, etc. The MoU is expected to benefit IIT Madras students and faculty, share academic resources, and carry out joint research projects.
In addition to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and green technology, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) also mentions cooperation in cyber security as well as chip design, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to integrating emerging technologies.
The agreement also includes student exchange programs with the possibility of credit transfer. This will enable students from both institutions to expand their learning horizons and experience different research settings. The cooperation aims to set up skill development programs that will provide students with the skills they need to succeed in the labor market in line with their fields of study.
