Deakin University is making history in India. The Australian institution has just opened its doors to the inaugural group of students at its new campus in Gujarat, signifying a significant milestone. Deakin is the first international university to establish a complete educational campus in India.
These trailblazing students are embarking on Master's programs in Cyber Security and Business Analytics, acquiring skills that are highly sought after in today's job market. Vice-Chancellor of Deakin, Professor Iain Martin, was overjoyed at the arrival of the students. He pointed out the swift advancement of the initiative, noting, "This ambitious endeavor, which began less than two years ago, has led to the establishment of a fully operational Deakin teaching campus – a first in the world."
Professor Martin also underlined Deakin's steadfast dedication to India, stating, "Deakin's approach has always been 'in India, with India, for India.' This moment is our greatest achievement in the Deakin-India narrative, representing a pivotal point in our 30-year partnership."
