Students traditionally return home after graduation due to better job opportunities and salaries, instilling a sense of reassurance and confidence.
However, the situation has changed with inflation and economic pressures, leading families to seek work opportunities overseas or reduce study costs. Asian countries are now rebalancing from being source markets to becoming desirable study destinations, with Hong Kong reporting a 400% increase in mainland applications and enrollments up 200-300%.
