The Languages Canada Consortium, consisting of eight accredited language schools, has obtained Recognised Organization status in Canada's International Experience Canada program. This status allows members to invite participants directly, offering streamlined opportunities for individuals aged 18 to 35 to access educational and employment programs in Canada. The consortium focuses on language learning, work experience, and travel, with partnerships being developed to enhance participants' readiness for the job market. The IEC program enables international youth to study English or French in Canada for 12 weeks, followed by work opportunities with open permits. Despite rejecting an exemption request from the federal study permit cap, the program continues to provide pathways for international students, fostering connections and addressing labor shortages in various industries.
