Cost far from only reason Indians reject US unis – survey
The GradRight survey of over 20,000 Indian students in the US highlighted key factors influencing university acceptances and rejections. While cost played a significant role, university branding emerged as a crucial consideration for private institutions. Location was found to be more influential in rejecting schools than accepting them. Career opportunities were a key factor for both private and public university students when accepting enrollment, with public university students showing a higher tendency to reject based on career prospects. The survey data, primarily from Hyderabad but also representing smaller cities like Ahmedabad and Surat, underscores the importance of these factors in international student recruitment strategies for universities.
