Torrens University is a private, for-profit, international university with campuses in Sydney that is based in Australia and serves students from all over the world. In 2014, it opened its first campus in the Torrens Building in the centre of Adelaide. In October 2011, the Government of South Australia agreed to Laureate Education Asia's plan to start a private university. This new alliance brought together more than 100,000 learners from all over the world to form a global network.
