#Course details

For students to graduate from this program, they must first complete a research project and an internship lasting four months, and then write and defend a professional thesis.

 

A master's degree in business analytics in Germany typically consists of core modules and three fundamental sections that are spread out across the duration of the study period. These are the segments:

 

Introduction to data mining and machine learning, data quality and visualization, big data, NoSQL and Watson analytics, and design thinking are the topics that will be covered in this course.

 

The term "business analytics" refers to the analysis and modeling of business processes and data, as well as data-driven business planning, analytical modeling, information systems management, and the modeling and modeling of managerial decisions.

 

Accounting fundamentals and financial reporting, enterprise systems improvement (SAP, IoT, etc.), financial analytics, digital manufacturing and supply chain, management and consumer insights (marketing) analytics,  and digital entrepreneurship and innovation are examples of analytical applications.

  • Data-driven decision making.
  • Research methods, professional development, and dissertation/project.
  • Data discovery visualization.
  • Predictive analytics.

There are also electives available, such as procurement and supply chain management, blockchain technology, emerging technologies, and FinTech.

#Admissions

To be eligible for admission to the Master of Science in Business Analytics program at one of Germany's more prestigious educational institutions, applicants need to possess a bachelor's degree in either business, finance, computer science, or a related discipline.

 

To apply, prospective students need to go to the university's website, where they will find application pages, and follow the instructions there. However, through the uni-assist portal, international students can apply to study at certain German universities.

 

#Eligibility

  • a Bachelor of Arts degree in a discipline such as business, finance, computer science, marketing, management, or any other discipline that is comparable.
  • employment experience or a relevant internship.
  • Evidence that you are proficient in English (IELTS or TOEFL test scores).

Documents required

  • evidence that the university admission exam has been completed and has been officially attested to.
  • a curriculum vitae that includes a photograph.
  • Letter or references (the number of reference letters required may differ per university).
  • Report from the internship.
  • a certificate obtained after passing a language exam.
  • copies that have been officially authenticated as proof of having completed a bachelor's degree program in the applicant's home country, along with a translation of the document into either German or English.
  • Transcripts from the preceding universities display all of the aforementioned subjects and grades in their entirety.
  • A photocopy of the passport or the page containing the photograph from the passport.
  • If necessary, please provide an essay or a statement of purpose.

Note that to get entry into some of the universities, international students will need to demonstrate that they have a suitable level of mastery of German. The following certifications may be presented as evidence that a person is proficient in German:

  • Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang (DSH), minimum requirement: level 2
  • Das Deutsche Sprachdiplom der Kultusministerkonferenz, at least level 2 (DSD II)

Applicants are strongly urged to submit their applications to uni-assist as soon as they are finished since uni-assist will evaluate the application before the institution conducts its evaluation.
