MBA Profile Evaluation: How It Works
What is the best profile for MBA?
Profile Evaluation For MBA
An MBA from a reputed business school offers a list of advantages. Some of these advantages include a high salary after the completion of an MBA, a management position, a strong professional network, or even starting your own business.
Bachelor’s GPA or Percentage
There is no minimum GPA requirement to get into a business school for the course of an MBA. However, the average GPA requirement of the top 20 business schools is around 3.5. This makes 3.5 the baseline GPA for admissions into business schools. For the best and the most highly ranked business schools like Harvard and Stanford, the average undergraduate GPA that is required is around 3.7.
Work Experience
Generally, reputed business schools require at least two to three years of work experience before the student applies for admission to the MBA course. However, many business schools admit freshers to their MBA programs as well.
Letter Of Recommendation
Generally, people applying to MBA courses abroad get a professional letter of recommendation because they usually have some kind of work experience. Another letter of recommendation can be an academic one.
Statement Of Purpose
An SOP is a very essential document required to be submitted by the student. Unlike other documents, an SOP is completely drafted by the candidate himself, and it contains your aim and goals in life.
Curriculum Vitae
A CV carries quite some weight as a part of your application. Hence, it is preferred that the CV should be included in the application.it carries your past achievements and personal details.

IELTS and TOEFL
To get into the top MBA programs, taking the either IELTS or TOEFL test is very important. An average score of 6.0 or 6.5 in IELTS is required. This proves your proficiency in English.
GRE and GMAT
The GRE + MBA route is not recommended. GMAT is the better option as it tests your managerial skills. A GMAT score above 700 is required to get into the top business schools, whereas a score between 650-700 is a competitive score
Extracurricular Activities
The admissions department of a business school is very particular in choosing the right candidates for its program. It goes through the application in all aspects and selects the best ones. To be among the best, all the criteria of a perfect application have to be fulfilled. This is possible when the candidate is also proactive in extracurricular activities.
Research Paper
Having written research papers shows the university that the student is capable of handling a task well and has knowledge about what he is doing.
Class X And XII Grades
Class X and XII marks do not matter while pursuing an MBA abroad, because you will nearly have 3 to 4 years of work experience, which means that nearly a decade has passed since your X and XII grades.
