MIM in The Netherlands

The Master of Management (MIIM) is a postgraduate degree that teaches management and organizational abilities in general. For graduates from a range of fields with little or no professional business experience who desire to move into management, MIM has lately emerged as a cost-effective alternative to the Master of Business Administration (MBA). MIM degrees, which can be taken up \as a Master of Science or a Master of Arts, are more conceptually oriented than traditional MBA degrees. On the other hand, universities place a heavy focus on teaching management skills such as leadership, analytical, and communication. Master of Management Studies programs are offered by a range of business universities and institutes under a variety of titles, delivery modalities, and concentrations.

#What is a Masters in Management (MIM)?

For graduates and young professionals, the MiM, or Masters in Management, is a top-tier post-graduate degree that they can pursue. There are several different management disciplines covered by this degree, including finance, marketing, consulting, and entrepreneurship among others. You might consider taking up a master's degree if you plan to change careers early in your professional life or work in management.

A Master of Management degree is well-suited for management positions. Graduates can pursue careers in finance, business intelligence, consulting, marketing, corporate strategy, company development, accounting, sales, sustainability, and a range of other sectors, including entrepreneurship. Because of the remarkable resemblance to and numerous parallels with the MBA, MiM students compete with MBA graduates and, to a certain extent, vice versa.

#Why Study Mim in The Netherlands?

Every year, a large number of international students enroll in Master of Management (MiM) programs in the Netherlands. With its liberal traditions, vibrant cities, and beautiful countryside, there are considerably worse places to study than the United States. Because it is a hub of commercial activity and logistics, it can be a fantastic spot to study MiM programs. Students will have a plethora of networking opportunities. Some students prefer to travel to Rotterdam, while others prefer to travel to Amsterdam; both are prominent financial locations that finance-oriented Masters in Management students find intriguing. Other alternatives for MiM students in the Netherlands include Maastricht and Tilburg, among others. Several business schools across the country offer internationally recognized MiM programs, as well as other master's degree programs in business such as MSc in Finance, MSc in Supply Chain, and MSc in Information Technology.

Non-Dutch-speaking students interested in studying a MiM program in the Netherlands will be pleased to learn that English is frequently spoken. Not only do some of the country's business schools offer English-language business master's programs, but English is also spoken by over 90% of the population.

#Application Procedure

Applicants should plan on spending several months completing the application process, which begins months before classes begin. For overseas students to begin their journey, universities have two main intakes: fall intake and winter intake. Here's a quick 5-step guide to completing your application:

  • Compile all of your supporting paperwork, such as SOPs, essays, certificates, and letters of recommendation, as well as exam results such as IELTS, TOEFL, GRE, and GMAT scores, into a single folder.
  • Attend to all of your application deadlines and begin the process of applying for housing, a student visa, scholarships, and student loans.
  • Accept the offer letter and get to know your teachers, students, and housemates in a virtual setting.
  • Get your visa approved and fly to the university of your dreams!

#Eligibility Criteria

  • Proof of English proficiency: TOEFL/IELTS GRE 310 to 330 (minimum) / GMAT 600
  • A GPA of 7.5 or above is required on a scale of 10.0.
  • It is necessary to have a bachelor's degree in any relevant field. For research-oriented programs, the bachelor's degree should also be in a research-oriented program.

#Work Experience Requirements

The majority of MIM programs require applicants to have at least two or three years of work experience before applying; however, some schools offer an exception. Work experience is heavily influenced by the admission requirements of the university to which you are applying, so be sure to double-check this before submitting your application.

  • Letter of Recommendation
  • Statement of Purpose
  • All academic transcripts should be photocopied.
  • A photocopy of your ID and a valid passport are required.
  • Curriculum vitae (CV) (CV)
  • Additional documents are necessary, such as a research statement or a letter of purpose.

#Visa Requirements

The Netherlands has an 8.06 percent visa denial rate. Every student requesting a visa must have a sponsor, which is usually the university. To apply for a study visa in the Netherlands, you must complete the following steps:

  • An MVV (long-stay visa) and a VVR (visa verification report) are required for students (provisional residential permit).
  • After the degree is finished, the MVV is valid for 90 days, and the VVR is valid for three months.
  • Your visa application will be handled by the university to which you have been accepted.
  • The visa application price is 220.88 USD in addition to the university's supplemental fees (INR 16,613.87).
  • International students must retain 1,160 USD (INR 87,807.52) in their bank account and meet 50% of the university's credit score requirements to keep their permission active.

Following the approval of your visa application, you must perform the following steps:

  • A meeting with the Dutch ambassador will be scheduled.
  • A valid passport is necessary, as are two passport photos, biometrics, and signature.
  • An interview is essential for obtaining a visa.
