MELBOURNE ASIAN DEVELOPMENT BANK- JAPAN SCHOLARSHIP
University of Melbourne Asian Development Bank-Japan Scholarships are available to four overseas students who wish to study at the university. The ADB-JS is applicable to a variety of master's programmes offered at the university, including
- A living stipend of AUD 30,600 is provided to recipients in addition to a tuition cost waiver of 100 percent.
- The scholarship is only available for master's programmes at the University of Melbourne that have been selected.
- The Applicants must be under the age of 35 in order to be considered.
- The choice is communicated to the four students who have been selected throughout the month of January.
Applications for the Melbourne Asian Development Bank-Japan Scholarship 2021 will be accepted until the application notice is posted.
#Benefits
- For the typical period of a master's by coursework degree, up to a maximum of two years, the student is exempt from paying any tuition fees.
- An additional benefit is a living allowance of $15,300, which is handed out in biweekly instalments each year in addition to the remission of fees.
- Scholarship recipients will be provided with a round-trip economy plane ticket to Melbourne and back to their home country at the conclusion of the scholarship programme.
- The scholarship will cover a portion of the cost of the student's education expenses.
- Overseas students' health insurance premiums are paid.
#ELIGIBILITY
The Melbourne Asian Development Bank-Japan Scholarship needs applicants to meet the following requirements in order to be considered:
- Must have applied for an eligible master’s program at the University of Melbourne
- Master of Ecosystem Management and Conservation
- Master of Public Health
- Master of International Business
- Master of Economics
- Master of Engineering
- Master of Business Administration
- Master of Agricultural Science
- It is necessary to have obtained an unconditional offer by October 31 in order to commence in the following year.
- The applicant must be under the age of 35 at the time of the assessment.
- ( In extraordinary circumstances, the maximum age limit may be extended to 45 years old.)
- Neither a master's degree nor previous study at an institution outside of the country of residence is required for this position.
- The participant must agree to return to his or her native country following the completion of the programme.
- Must be able to demonstrate fluency in the English language, both orally and in writing.
- To be considered for this position, you must have at least two years of full-time professional experience.

#APPLICATION PROCESS
From 2020 forward, there will be no Asian Development Bank-Japan Scholarships available to applicants. In order to be considered, applicants must first apply for a postgraduate degree programme that is eligible, and then submit an online application for the Asian Development Bank - Japan Scholarship. The following are the study fields that are eligible for this scholarship:
- Medicine, dentistry, health, and welfare.
- Agriculture, Animal studies, Food science, and veterinary science.
- Engineering.
- Commerce, economics, and management.
For the scholarship, students must submit an application on their own behalf at least six months before they plan to apply for a postgraduate degree course.

- Scorecard of English Language Proficiency test.
- Copy of Passport.
- Academic Transcripts.
- The completed ADB - JSP information sheet.
SELECTION PROCESS
Officials from the University of Melbourne have selected a shortlist of individuals who are eligible for the Melbourne Asian Development Bank-Japan Scholarship. The candidates who have been shortlisted will be contacted by the institution through email in November or December, with a request for additional information and supporting paperwork.
The names of the candidates who have been shortlisted are then forwarded to the Asian Development Bank. They are the only ones who have the authority to make the ultimate choice on the applications. In January, recipients will get an email informing them of the outcome of the contest.
