Masters in Human Resource Management in Canada

MHRM, or Masters in Human Resource Management in Canada, is a two-year program offered by some of the country's most prestigious universities. Even in the rapidly changing job market in Canada for international students, the one bright spot is that the demand for human resource management professionals will never diminish. As a human resources professional, you are required by almost all organizations, regardless of industry.

The tuition fees for the entire program range from 15,000 CAD to 82,000 CAD, depending on the course. The cost of pursuing the course ranges from 9 Lac to 47.3 Lac for students from India. According to Job Bank Canada, the average annual salary for a Human Resource Manager is 89,440 CAD (51.46 Lac) per year on average.

An MS in Human Resources Management (MHRM) should not be confused with an MBA in Human Resources (MBA-HR). Even though both programs can be completed in no more than two years, the tuition for an MBA program is significantly more expensive.

The cost of pursuing a Master's in Human Resource Management is less expensive than the cost of pursuing an MBA. It is possible to pay more than 50,000 CAD per year for tuition alone at a top Canadian business school, but you could still expect to pay around 30,000 CAD per year for MHRM tuition at one of Canada's top universities, according to the Canadian Institute of Management.

  • International Students Require Educational Loans from Private Banks- For many international students, an educational loan from a private bank is necessary and, in most cases, the last resort. For Indian students, almost all major national banks, such as SBI (State Bank of India), Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, Punjab National Bank (PNB), and Bank of India, among others, offer educational loans. These banks may be able to offer up to 85 percent of the program fee for students pursuing their studies in Canada.
  • While you're studying, you can earn money:
  • Top universities in Canada offer work-study opportunities for students to earn extra money, which is an excellent option for international students studying in Canada on a student visa who want to supplement their income with additional earnings. For as long as they are enrolled full-time at a Canadian university, most full-time students are permitted to work no more than 10 hours per week, including paid employment. Typically, an international student with a study permit is only permitted to work in a paid capacity for a total of 20 hours per week.
