Loughborough University

A public research university in the city of Loughborough, Loughborough University was established in 1909 with a different name. It was named University of the Year for Sport in 2019 by The Times and Sunday Times. It is one of the top 20 research-led universities in the country.

A technical institute in the center of Loughborough was established in 1909 that offered courses in subjects like Science and Art. The university was awarded its charter in April 1966.  It was the country's first technological university and was renamed Loughborough University in 1996. It is now a 440-acre asset. It opened its second campus in 2015 on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London.
