Q: Who is eligible for the Friedrich Ebert Foundation Scholarship?

The scholarship is open to international students enrolled in a public or state-approved university in Germany. You must demonstrate excellent academic performance and commitment to the values of social democracy.

Students from Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe are eligible for the Friedrich Ebert Foundation Scholarship. Those who intend to study UG and PG studies in Germany are eligible for the scholarship program.

It is necessary to receive confirmation of acceptance to a German university.
Up to 40 scholarships are available to UG and PG students enrolled in German universities.
A separate application for the Friedrich Ebert scholarship must be made online.
UG and PG program recipients will receive 650 € per month and 1000 € per month, respectively.
The scholarship program annually awards more than 2000 students.

The Foundation conducts two interview sessions to make its selections. UG students have a variety of application deadlines; however, PG students can only apply before October 31.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following qualifying conditions to be considered for the Friedrich Ebert Foundation Scholarship:

Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe must all be represented.
Outstanding academic records
It is necessary to be socially and politically active.
pursuing a bachelor's and master's degree at a German university
FES supports practically all academic areas, allowing students from public/state-approved universities and polytechnic or applied science institutions in Germany to pursue a UG and PG degree at a German university.
Second-degree courses, study tours outside of Germany, the final phase of studies, and a PG in medicine are not eligible for the scholarship.

#Application Process

The Friedrich Ebert Foundation Scholarships must be applied for online. Applications must be received by the following deadlines:

Exams for diplomas, magisters, and state examinations: At the end of the sixth semester,
Undergraduate Studies: When you've completed three semesters, you'll be eligible for a diploma.

a) If there are six semesters: By the third semester's end,

b) If there are seven semesters, by the end of the fourth semester

Postgraduate Programs: At the end of the first semester

They must present confirmation of German competency, such as C 1, and TestDAF, while filling out the form.

#Selection Process

Academic achievement, financial need, and social and political activity in the Weimar Republic's budding democracy will all be taken into consideration.

Selected candidates would be subjected to two separate interviews.

Interview Session I: One of the FES lecturers conducts this.
Interview Session II: Conducted by one of the FES Scholarship Committee members.

Based on these interviews, two reports will be written and delivered to the AWA.

The AWA will make the final determination. The AWA is a non-profit organization made up of university professors and professionals from the domains of science, politics, art, and media. AWA will notify recipients, and funding will be distributed to them.

#Grant Details

The Friedrich Ebert Foundation Scholarships are given to students who succeed academically and participate in social and political activities. Students from Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe who are accepted to German colleges will get 40 scholarships.
