1. CULTURE:

India is often described as a melting pot of various cultures, traditions, and festivals. Filled with ethnic diversity, tourists in India also come across various religions. Festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi, Eid, Christmas, etc are joyously celebrated in India. The people here, even though a bit conservative are very welcoming towards foreigners and treat them with utmost warmth. The culture of Canada is a mixture of art, architecture, delightful cuisine, and a just society. Canadian culture is often applauded for being very progressive, diverse, and multicultural. The Government of Canada itself promotes a multicultural ideology and emphasizes a law-abiding society.

2. EDUCATION SYSTEM:

In India, the education system is quite rigid and students are forced to study all the subjects during their schooling. A student cannot skip these subjects and less importance is given to extracurricular activities and Physical Education while more attention is given to subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. In Canada however, the degree structure is flexible. Canadian Universities assign each course a specific amount of credit, students should require the necessary amount of credits required. Each semester, students select courses from a wide selection offered by their department of studies. In doing so, they also get to choose their workload: from two to six courses a semester in general. The more courses they study each semester, the more credits they get and the faster they graduate. As a consequence, students get to build a curriculum that is well-suited to their likes and dislikes.

3. GRADING SYSTEM:

The Grading system in India is generally based on the percentage of the marks obtained by the student. The students are taught textual matter and are expected to present their answers exactly as they are given in the textbooks for maximum marks in their tests and exams. The grading system differs from region to region in Canada. Canada is divided into different provinces such as Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec, etc. For example, in Alberta students receive grades from A to D but in British Columbia, the grades are A, B, C+, C, C-, F, I, W, and P.

4. UNIVERSITIES:

India is ranked poorly being 131st out of 188 countries in the world regarding Education. India focuses on theoretical education more than practical education. Despite this, India has some of the best universities focusing on Engineering and Medicine such as the Indian Institute of Technology, the Indian Institute of Science, the University of Delhi, etc. Canada is the most up-and-coming

educational country in recent times and several reputed Universities have developed here. The University of Toronto ranked 25th, McGill University ranked 31st and the University of British Columbia ranked 45th and are the best Universities in Canada.

5. STUDENT LIFE:

India is home to 1.5 billion people which makes it the second-most populous country in the world. Students in India are very competitive because they are raised to be so as the population is very high in comparison to the number of seats available per educational institution. Every examination is regarded to be very important, also the cost of living in India combined with the tuition fees is very reasonable. Student life in Canada is quite vibrant as well as students there are very welcoming and friendly. French is widely spoken along with English daily. The study load is minimal because all subjects are chosen by the students according to their liking. There are often parties and gatherings on campus. Students meet each other, dance, and have a good time in general. Canadian Universities are famous for their after-class clubs and activities and students participate in them wholeheartedly. Overall the student life in Canada is very well balanced and lively.
