Blackrock Further Education Institute is a college of further education in Dublin which was established in 1982.
In 2014 it moved to Blackrock in a redeveloped Town Hall, Technical College, and Carnegie Library.
It provides both higher educational qualifications (BTEC Higher National Diploma) as well as technical/vocational education and training in areas including Beauty Therapy, Creative Multimedia, Marketing, Auctioneering and Estate Agency Practice, Accountancy, and Design. Blackrock Further Education Institute is located in Blackrock, 17 kilometers (11 mi) from Dublin City Center.
Since its foundation, the Institute developed rapidly and was soon providing Accounting, Marketing and Auctioneering, Business, Beautician, Health and Wellbeing Therapies, Creative Multimedia, Computing and Communications Technology, and Interior Design courses for full-time and part-time students.
BFEI is a College of Further Education offering an excellent range of professional career courses. Graduates enjoy professional qualifications certified and accredited by nationally and internationally recognized examining and professional bodies.
These include the: Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), Accounting Technicians Ireland (ATI), Comite International D'Esthetique et de Cosmetologie (CIDESCO), International Therapy Examination Council (ITEC), Cisco Networking Academy (CISCO), Irish Pharmacy Union (IPU).

Student Sports and Social Committee: The Student Sports and Social (S&S) Committee is the body responsible for the coordination of social, cultural, and sporting events for students at BFEI. Representatives from each class are elected to the Committee towards the end of September each year. All students are actively encouraged to participate in and support Committee activities. The coordination of these activities is facilitated by staff members.
Erasmus+ European Work Experience Placements: The European Union provides funding to support Further Education students to undertake work experience placements in Europe under the Erasmus+ Programme. Funding is provided to cover the cost of flights, travel insurance, and accommodation as well as day-to-day living expenses.
